Visiting to Pho (Rice Noodle) Bakery

The bakery produces traditional rice noodles using only the best rice and machine. Many of Hoi An’s specialities are made from these noodles – Mi Quang (a thick noodle soup unique to Quang Nam Province), Hu Tiu (seafood soup), Bun (vermicelli soup), Banh Dap (grilled and steamed rice cakes), and Pho (noodle soup served with beef or chicken). Each has a different secret recipe for the soup.
The rice is placed in an appropriate amount of water for about 3 hours before being ground into rice paste. After that, the paste is steamed until it becomes a tender but not sticky rice paper cake. When finished, the cakes are dried either in the sun or above burning charcoal once again.
